The Office of Professional Standards focuses on the everyday operating procedures of the police department. The unit keeps up to date on policing methods suggested or dictated by court decisions, officer safety issues, and general suggestions and criticisms from citizens of Muncie and the officers of the Muncie Police Department.
The Office of Professional Standards attends to citizen complaints and concerns dealing with conduct and actions Muncie Police Department officers. If you have a question, concern, or complaint, please contact this office.
The Muncie Police Department would also like to hear if you are satisfied with the service you receive from our officers. Too often we are unable to publicly praise our officers for their hard work and dedication. We have many men and women who deserve recognition for their hard work and outstanding service to the people who live, work, and visit the City of Muncie.
